A year of travel…

2004
Jérôme Abel Seguin establishes two new studios and builds a new house in Bali. In this new « laboratory » each work remains for a period of time.

1998
Jérôme’s works are exhibited and sold worldwide from New York to Moscow, from Mexico to Dubai.

1991-1996
Several studios in Lombock, in East Timor and Sumbawa island where works produced include the use of  Tapa (using traditional wood material), lontar (palm trunk transformed into giant amphoras), pieces of furniture in teak, litchee tree and screens made out of traditional pirogues from Kawinda.

1991
Jerome Abel Seguin joins the National Contemporary Art Collection exhibiting one of his major works, the  » mur de bois « .

1990
During a trip to Indonesia, wood instantly emerges as an obvious expressing his talent through this material. His original vision is revealed through the creation of monumental and unique pieces of furniture as well as sculptures of multiple, totemic, choreographic and abstract composition. A pioneer in enhancing raw beauty.  he paves the way for a « natural and contemporary » aesthetic movement.

1975 – 1985
He travels and exhibits in France, Belgium, Brazil and signs décors for the dance and fashion worlds ( Hermès, Vuitton, Dior…).

Jerome Abel Seguin was born in the South-West of France. After studying art at the Ecole Boulle and the Beaux-Arts, he experiments with various techniques and materials including plaster and glass with which he creates « boxes » and « ready-made ».
